Happy Nowruz.

Beginning Sunday, March 21st, we will transform into a Persian Meat & Three, inspired by the fragrant fare of Iran.

We can’t think of a time when we need it more - the raising of glasses to prosperity, turning a new and leaf and enjoying a meal with the people who have gotten us through the last year. Plus, my mom and I love an excuse to cook together.

Fiercely festive, colorful and abundant, Nowruz - or Persian new year - is meant to summon good fortune & health by way of feasting. In celebration of a fresh start, we pile crispy tahdig high and pull our loved ones close, share laughter and stories over a bountiful table strewn with pomegranate and garlic, saffron and rose water. Lamb and citrus, cardamom and rice, barberries and flaky fish. Flavors of my childhood, scents of spring, the notion that darkness is now behind us. We’ve woven all of that magic together, to bring some light (and deliciousness) to Bovina, on the eve of spring. Hope you’re hungry.
